Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain is a work of art. It’s set in a believable open world full of complex, interlocking systems and boasts visuals that are at the very peak of the games currently available on PS4.
Missions are more open than ever, with the ability to tackle each one in your own way. But watch out, if you keep doing the same thing, the game will react to your strategies. Like taking out guards with a headshot? They’re going to start wearing helmets. Tend to attack under the cover of darkness? They’re going to up their nighttime patrols. And so on, and so forth.

The Phantom Pain manages to pull together all the best bits of previous Metal Gear Solid games, while retaining the tension, drama and the usual Kojima oddities for what we’re calling the ultimate Metal Gear game
